UCT ToolĬannot delete or update the application settings file while the application is running.īecause of limitations within the Tight VNC* application (a third-party application for KVM), asterisks will not appear when entering the opt-in code. An example where this capability is needed in Intel AMT is the System Defense association AMT_ActiveFilterStatistics. Microsoft WinRM* - Intel AMT interrupt on associations: The WinRM client fails to perform a retrieval or delete of an instance of an association class using an EPR when its selectors are also EPRs. This script contains WinRM commands and may change the user's WinRM configuration. The "Configure Default KVM Port" script sets the RFB password.
AMT EMULATOR WINDOWS WINDOWS 7
Note that a file compiled on other Windows* operating systems, such as Vista*, will also execute on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. For further information and workaround see the Windows 7 SDK: Beta Release Notes. The C++ samples fail to compile on Windows* 7 and Windows Server 2008* R2 due to a bug in the Windows SDK function mt.exe. WLAN provisioning with USB Key will not allow TLS enablement on LAN-less platforms in Intel AMT Release 9.5. Heuristic policies, deprecated since version 10.0, have now been removed from Intel AMT. Actions associated with these events will only be executed if the event can be properly logged. AuditingĪ new category of "super_critical" events has been created. It is now possible to globally disable AMT in the MEBx menu, such that it cannot be reenabled remotely. Hardware Asset ListingĪ new CIM class is available that enumerates each of the batteries connected to the system and contains information about their current status. This feature can be turned off if your viewer does not support it or if you need to free up network resources. KVM Data TransferĪ new data transfer mode is now available for KVM connections, which offers faster throughput by not waiting for a response from the client after each packet. You will need to provide the version number of the Intel AMT client. When using KVM, this client type can be accessed using a new KVM_StartEx or KVMCustomTransport_OpenEx function. When using the redirection library, this client type can be accessed using a new option in the ClientType enum. Expanded Cipher SuitesĪ new client type has been created for TLS sessions, which uses a cipher suite with a block size of 256. Support for TLS version 1.0 will also be removed from an upcoming Intel AMT 11.8 firmware release. TLSīeginning with Intel AMT release 12.0, Intel AMT supports TLS version 1.2, and no longer supports TLS version 1.0.

Samples and code libraries have been upgraded from. MOF and XSL files in the \DOCS\WS-Management directory and the class reference in the documentation are updated to version 12.NET* Version March 2018: New features included with the Intel® AMT SDK, release 12.0 Files ISVs encountering this issue should rebuild their management consoles, using samples from the Intel AMT Release 12.0 SDK or later releases. Remote communication to the platform is not impacted.
AMT EMULATOR WINDOWS SOFTWARE
Functionality may be impacted if the ISV solution includes a software agent or application that runs locally on the platform.
AMT EMULATOR WINDOWS DRIVER
ImpactĪs a result of the firmware enhancement, management consoles that were built using sample code for API calls to the Intel CSME firmware that go through the Intel® MEI driver from releases of the Intel AMT SDK prior to version 12.0 may encounter issues when utilizing Intel AMT functionality with platforms using Intel® CSME 12. firmware was updated to no longer accept incorrect parameter values, and the SDK MEI samples were updated in the Release 12.0 SDK to send the correct parameter values. This bug did not affect functionality because the firmware did not validate the parameter. The parameter was the Length field in the PTHI_MESSAGE_HEADER struct, which incorrectly included the length of the message header, instead of specifying the length of the message payload only. BackgroundĪ bug in the SDK MEI samples caused a wrong parameter value to be sent to the firmware. Following the enhancement, the SDK samples were updated in the Intel AMT Release 12.0 SDK so that they would function correctly with the new process. firmware included an enhancement of the process that validates input parameters for Intel® MEI commands. Old Intel® AMT SDK sample code that calls Intel® Converged Security and Management Engine (Intel® CSME) APIs through the Intel® Management Engine Interface (Intel® MEI) driver not working with Intel CSME 12. and later, 802.1x functionality is available also when a static IP address is configured.

Prior to release 12., 802.1x functionality is unavailable when a static IP address is configured.

Feature Enhancement: 802.1x with Static IP
